We’re proud of our 5 star reviews

The personal injury claim process

Our compensation lawyers here in Brisbane’s West have created a reputation for securing our clients lower fees and bigger wins. We’re proud to be a little bit different. Getting started with us is easy. Here’s how it works.

Talk with a lawyer

The process starts with an initial conversation with one of our compensation lawyers. This typically takes about 30 minutes (but we can take as long as you need). These chats allow us to find out all about your claim.

Get a letter of advice

Following that initial chat, you’ll receive a letter of advice. You’ll get this within a few days — it aims to give you our specific recommendations for your claim. We make sure to write this simply, without any of that legal jargon.

Start the process

As soon as you’re ready to go ahead, we’ll start the compensation claims process. This process is different from claim to claim, but it always begins with us notifying any relevant parties and starting the process of gathering evidence.

Our personal injury lawyers are a little bit different.

vbr Lawyers is different. Here’s what makes us stand out from the rest.

Win more for less

By charging lower fees and winning bigger compensation claims, we win more for less.

No win, no fee

Our Westside Brisbane compensation lawyers take the risk out of your claim — you don’t pay until we win.

Always deal with a senior lawyer

Each of our compensation claims is handled by a senior lawyer — not a junior or paralegal.

Work with an award-winning firm

The compensation lawyers in our Corinda firm are award-winning.

A compassionate approach

Personal injury claims are already stressful. We offer a compassionate approach.

The opposite of the big firms

You’re much more than a number to our personal injury lawyers. You’ll notice the difference.

It’s No Win, No Fee

This policy means you only pay for our legal services once we win. This approach relieves the financial burden during an already challenging time, providing peace of mind as you pursue your claim. If you don’t win, you don’t pay us. If we do win, you’ll pay a portion of that win to us. It removes the stress of worrying about upfront costs.

Our low fee model

We’re dedicated to ensuring you receive a bigger share of your compensation claim. This is reflected in our low fee structure. We want you to use the compensation we secure on your behalf to rebuild and move forward with your life effectively.

We charge less

We charge 20 to 40% less than the big firms do. We also don’t charge uplift (an additional charge for risky claims), and we put a maximum cap on our legal fees (excluding refunds and expenses) at 30% of your claim (legally, we can charge up to 50%). We won’t take that full 30% if we win you a larger sum. We’ll just take what we need to cover our professional fees.

And we win more

At vbr Lawyers, we work diligently to secure a larger amount of compensation for you. Unlike larger firms, which are often criticised for churning through claims, our focus is on making sure you’re truly compensated for what you’ve been through. We take the time to gather the necessary evidence, wait for injuries to stabilise, and collect all the right information to maximise your claim. It’s this careful strategy that helps us get you the full compensation you rightfully deserve.
